- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2024As I work within the medical field, a nurse friend whose husband had knee surgery recommended this to me. She noted her husband and even she learned things she didn't know before. Found it helped prepare for surgery and for the after recovery (along with using a continuous ice flow machine wrap item for the knee) . I bought three books and this seems the most comprehensive and helpful. Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2023If your looking to have your knee replaced, you need to get this book!! Lots of helpful information. From early exercises you should start before surgery, after surgery. It will tell you about the procedure and what to expect through the whole process. Also tells you what important tools you should have at home to help you, get dressed, take a shower, climb stairs etc... very informative
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2022I had knee replacement 2 weeks ago. The
information helped educate myself. I will be ready for my next knee replacement. Great information. Answered many of my questions.
Reaffirmed all the directions I already knew. Plus helped with questions I never thought by to ask
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2019After learning from my doctor that I may soon need a knee replacement I felt overwhelmed. I had very little personal experience with a surgery like this, so I didn't know what questions to ask. This book was extremely helpful by giving me a thorough understanding of what to expect on my journey through the process of knee replacement. After reading this book I was able to ask the right questions, but more importantly I was able to achieve my best outcome.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2021Risk factors, benefits and also real life suggestions, do your laundry prior to surgery. Also great that he addresses the mental health aspects of the surgery.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2022I appreciated this book a lot! The author covered every subject possible, I believe. I especially like the appendix. Totally worth it!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2021The book was concise and gave very practical information to someone who is inexperienced with joint replacement surgery. The illustrations were useful.
