Wow! I wish I has this when I first broke my horse. Very detailed, well organized, and thorough Planner. The format is easy to follow and VERY customizable... this planner is applicable to beginners all the way through FEI. You can break your goals down into year-end goals with monthly objectives, weekly focuses, down to daily to-do lists. There's TONS of room for side notes, drawing figures, etc. There's even charts to easily plan show schedules, sign up dates, and record details about test scores. As a rider who only sees her trainer every few weeks but has BIG goals, this planner is an absolute must to keep me on track, motivated and focused. 5* all day long.

It's January, so we're all thinking about the year up ahead and how it will go for us. I always set goals for myself and for my riding, and I'm a fairly neurotic planner and tracker. This book is terrific for helping me to both set out what I want to do with my horse and how to keep track of it through the year. I spent a while brainstorming my goals using the book's tools and I plan to bring it with me to every lesson so my trainer can jot down notes for me.

For context: my horse is a semi-retired 26yo former eventer, now at a dressage barn, and doing dressage to stay healthy, supple, and fit both physically and mentally. So this is a great tool even if you're not hoping to take the show world by storm.

I gave these to my working students for Christmas and I see them using them all the time. I thought they were a bit expensive but they are cleverly designed and well thought out. The paper is nice quality and they are attractive with lots of blank dressage arenas the girls can use to diagram movements and even full tests. There are places to write goals and notes from daily rides as well. I may have to get one for myself next year!

Purchased this so the person I half lease a horse with could stay on the same page. I see the monthly pages being more useful when show season starts. I wish the pages for daily ride notes had more space....but I have a tendency to be long winded. Recommended!

Great book you will be super excited and motivated once you get it :)
Far exceeded my expectations
Just organizing show dates and entry dates alone is huge .... And the spaces for notes, goals, and accomplishments
Great gift giving idea for yourself, friends, family and of course the secret Santa’s or yankee swap :)
