I was gifted my first copy of this edition around 2000 or so, and in the process of moving it was lost. More than once I mourned not having it.

I was no stranger to the Strong's (my first hardback copy was given to me by a minister in the late '80's) and I won't try here to convince you of the book's merits. If you're looking at this edition then you probably are sold already. What I want to address in this review is the portability of the cloth-bound softcover.

The hardback is fine for studying at home, but if you are like me then you are no stranger to studying in the library, a coffee shop or even sitting up in bed. I wanted a Strong's that could travel with me and not take up a lot of space or be as unwieldy as the hardcover. The obvious solution was the mass-market paperback edition, and that would have been fine except for one fatal flaw: all the paperback editions I have seen do not include the Hebrew/Greek Lexicon. In my opinion, this accounts for about 75% of the Strong's appeal. Any exhaustive concordance can help me locate passages but what I want is the ability to do word studies. This is impossible without the lexicon.

This edition does include the Hebrew/Greek Dictionaries and it is small enough to fit inside a bookbag or briefcase, or even a purse. The pliable cover guarantees it will rest flat when you open it up. It is the perfect "take-anywhere" edition of the Strong's Concordance.

Some readers will find the type to be too small for their tastes. This is the only downside I can find.

I bought this book for a Bible study. It is a very large book but definitely a big help when studying various words in the Bible. Make sure to buy one that is the same as your version of Bible. Ex NIV or KJ. The book I bought was used and is in excellent condition!

A must have for anyone studying the Bible. If you know just a few words to a verse you can find it using Strongs (or google it) Strongs is especially useful if there is a topic you want to study. You can study every verse about "Mercy, merciful, mercies" for example. I also use these 2 online helps (Biblegateway and Biblos and recently started to use this one too [...] when in a part of my Bible that is new to me and I have never been taught it. I AM A KJV ONLY person so I read a verse in KJV and use "easyenglish". I DO NOT recommend any Bible but the Authorized KJV.) for my study.

    2 Timothy 3:14-17 KJV

    14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Hi Amazon, I received my Strong's Concordance today, 7/15/22. It truly is incredible in the amount of
work and study Mr. Strong did, to bring this about. Thank you. This book will teach me more and open my eyes to what The Word Of God says, since it was spoken in Aramaic, Greek and Hebrew, neither I know to speak or read.
But Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sending. I know I will cherish until my last breath on earth.

As useful today as it has ever been. This appears to be the 1995 KJV (anglicised) version, so make sure that this concordance is the one which refers to your Bible of choice. Hendricksons, Hard Back ISBN 0-917006-01-1. H28.5cm x W21.5cm x D5.7cm pp1340+app.

This concordance contains a cross referencing index of a Greek and Hebrew dictionary of the New Testament for the scholars, which is of a tremendous value in extending our understanding of the complex meanings allied to many Greek words which can express many things at the same time. The main concordance is a comprehensive listing of the words of the bible in order of the Canonical Books therein (no apocryphal books). There is also an index of some common words like His, Their and And. I won't give a Greek example, for I fear you have already fallen asleep. But "spirit" is a great one to start with.

Here is another example. I was recently thinking about Jesus exalting us to constantly remember the content of our hearts, and to look closely towards him for guidance. There is a passage I remembered about the hypocrites and their hearts of deceit. So I looked up "Heart", and on page 472 under Matthew 7:6 we have "...lips, but their heart is far from me." Hey presto. That's it.
If you think you might want to use one, then get one, these second hand copies are super value!

This is the KJV strongs concordance. It helps very much in the study of words. For example if you look for the fear of the Lord.
Also it is very helpful to use with the "Law of first mention" which is the biblical approach of defining word in the Bible. But more and more we see that this is not possible with newer (corrupted) versions of the Bible.

Although I have handy concordance, this was highly recommended. Of use is the original Greek and Hebrew meanings of many words which explain the original meaning
A tad heavy but intended as a good reference along with Bible Commentaries and other translations in modern English
