An ex-soldier of the British Army. Joined as a volunteer in the early sixties just as conscription ended and the last postings of the era were coming to an end. This author was involved in the adventures and the incidents outlined in this biography. From the beginning of his service in the British Army it would seem he wasn’t cut out for a military life, but he wasn’t the only one with a ‘record’ who managed to eventually reach a higher rank, there was plenty of competition from others, believe me! In those days…it WAS different, we were young, naïve and very stupid at times….judge for yourself. And enjoy this tale.

Insightful...A Metaphysical look at the Christian Scriptures, through the lens of Science of Mind founder Ernest Holmes. Your ability to "get something" out of this book will be determined strictly by the depth of your Doctrinal Dogma. As a "thinking Christian" who knows that our conception of who/what God is, is completely limited by our lack of comprehension of the basic aspects of life itself, the universe and certainly the "meaning therein", I find this consideration of scripture to be interesting, enlightening and useful. I value the perspective on scripture which is presented here and find that it causes me to consider and mull over not just meaning but context. I deeply and seriously considered my decision to become a Christ Follower (made over 40 years ago) and find that I can be that and also derive much from these teachings and considerations; indeed I find greater clarification in some of the perspectives presented in this book than in much of the treatise of "traditional" Western Christian theology. Not looking for a debate from other Christians....your thoughts are yours, these thoughts are mine.

It has a clickable Table of Contents in the front of the book. Very helpful in finding your way and re-visiting some favorite chapters.

I always look for comments on the Kindle Experience in book reviews. Sometimes it makes a difference in what version you purchase.

When you open a Kindle book, it usually goes to the first chapter. If you want to view the "front matter" of the book, copywright info, publishing edition, Table of Contents, etc., you can use the PAGE BACK button to get to the cover of the book and then page forward. OR you can use the Menu, GO TO function to find the Table of Contents, which is sometimes in the back of the book and sometimes non-existant.

Hope this helps some new Kindle owners.
