- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2024I have tried to be a label reader for years and nothing ever clicked. It's weird. Now that I'm t2 diabetic, I bought a few books to help me understand carbs and everything else listed and this book is pretty captivating as far as books on carbs would go. At lunch I'll read a bit of it and have actually snuck and kept reading during bus hours. If you're serious about becoming in charge of your body and the decisions you make about what goes in your mouth, I do recommend this book. It's easy to read and understand, and idk....it's finally sinking in.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2021This is an excellent book for people who want to learn why carbohydrate counting is necessary to keep you from being diagnosed as Pre-diabetic, or diabetic. I’m pre-diabetic and I’ve kept my numbers in a good range (A1C). I’ve learned what is a serving, and how many servings I can have to keep me at my best health. This is a life long process of loving myself enough to care about what I put in my body. Once you commit yourself to learning what is your daily requirement and portion control, you will not need this book, but can make better choices and still have cake, just not everyday.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2021IF YOU WANT TO KEEP TRACK OF YOUR NUMBERS IN A JOURNAL FOR DIABETES IT DOES THE JOB. ABOUT 3 MONTHS WORTH OF RECORDING.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2020This book was such a great help for me. Everything you need to know if your pre-diabetic or diabetic. It’s easy to read and understand. Gives you great examples to make it even easier. Also gives you a list of carbs in a lot of different types of food. Plus resources for various thing. I would recommend this to anyone.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2024This book should have been printed in bold type. It's hard to read with the layout they chose. I would not recomend this book unless you have 20/20 vision.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2023Great book for healthy living
- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2021Good information in this book. You will learn how to count carbs, read food labels and so much more.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2019This is so important. I was having a hard time finding online guides that cover this topic fully. There is a definite gap in free information out there. Bought this book and it's great! Just wish more info was readily available since this is SO IMPORTANT.
