- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2016I grabbed this book to understand this problem further. I have a friend who is struggling with POTS and had a really hard time walking around Disney World while we were there. This book gives some great tips on how to prevent and help with some of the symptoms. As this book stresses over and over, make sure you talk to your doctor. My friend had to go to a few different doctors to get the tests and correct diagnosis. Salt and slowly sitting up can help, but my friend has been living with this since she was 25 and she is ok as long as she eats right and drinks a lot of water. There are times when she feels too weak (in Disney) when she did need to use a wheeled scooter.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2017I highly doubt that this was written by someone who is fluent in English, or has an editor of any sort.... Some sentences make no sense, and distract from the point of the comment, if it can be figured out. Other things are just 'off' - like going for "physiological counseling for anxiety, depression, and many other complicating factors" ... really? Not psychological counseling, but physiological? Nutrition suggestions compare an elephant's vegetarian diet as 'proof' that humans should avoid 'non-vegetarian' foods, as they will make him/her weaker. Really? We should eat like elephants? Cucumbers and tomatoes should be cut "in a circular way", and should be eaten in salads with salt. OK... I guess those are the 'rules' for those veggies. God forbid they're diced or stuffed. Regarding diagnostic testing : "For proper treatment, the patient needs to undergo several clinical TRIALS and blood test to reset the physical functionality". Huh? Clinical trials aren't tests- they're part of the process of evaluating the efficacy and safety of new medications and treatments. Under the heading "Health Condition Deteriorates" (p. ? - there are no page numbers).... 'When a patient suffers from painful viral infection or prolonged illness, his health condition starts going down. For this reason, slowly, the patient is wondering (sic) in the state of hallucination with the least ability to stand boldly. So this physical condition is closely connected with the impact of the POTS disease". Those are just some of the weird examples that prove that anybody can get anything published. There are no safety parameters for the consumer with health related information.
Not worth the postage to return it. But seriously, this is not even a safe book to get advice from. It is bizarre and screams of medical information fraud.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2016I never heard of POTS Syndrome before and so I was intersted in the topic but even more so when I started reading the book. This underresearched disease seems to be a problem to many people acording to the author. Getting the word out there and trying to help people is a great thing to do!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2016It was very useful for me because I have all simptoms
It has a lot of tips than can help
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2016The gentleman brought very little information the writer couldn't learn from a free article in MedMD. More than a few words were misspelled; sentences were poorly constructed; the whole was a badly cobbled-together mishmash. Please look at two terrific books from Amazon Prime: Dysautonomia Project from Freeman and Goldsrein and dysautonomia, POTS Syndrome by Frederick Earlstein.
This is a very tough malady, with hard diagnoses. Very few healthcare professionals know much about it; the study of this field is not old. Please read these two books if you have a friend or loved one or yourself with a baffling problem or more than one mystery in your makeup. Then Google the Mayo Clinic. You can get more information from them; a Mayo doctor started studying this--in the mid-19th century.
There may be a wonderful surprise for you--maybe answers for the ills you thought you'd never find! Please keep learning and asking questions and share your knowledge!
But go to another couple books instead of this one!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2016Very poorly written. It reads like something that was written in one language, then auto translated into English. If there's good information in the book, I couldn't see past the poor writing to weed it out. Some of the sentences didn't even make sense.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a book i would recommend! Nor non of his other books
poorly written! Repeats more or less what had been said previously! And why would he suggest a POTS suffer to consider seeing a Psychiatrist to seek help on how to cope!!!!
Not a book i would recommend! Nor non of his other books... as i also notice he does a book on how to clear your debts!
Do not believe his books are medical vetted. As there was nothing stating otherwise in his book.
Don’t waste your money, i’d gladly give you mine to prove my point.

3.0 out of 5 stars I wasn't overly impressed with this book. I had ...
I wasn't overly impressed with this book. I had hoped it would have some further information I'd not already had from Dr/on the internet but really it was just repeating the same stuff which is already available.

1.0 out of 5 stars I can't recommend this book
I can't recommend this book. It feels cobbled together from information I have already found on the internet, and then explains it badly.
