I feel pretty qualified to review this book, as I have made it through the entire thing, front to back and have personally prepared all 90 recipes that are included! And I must say it is incredible. Lissa does an outstanding job laying everything out including what ingredients to have on hand at all times, the equipment needed, the prep for recipes, the recipes themselves and staying true to the 80-10-10 diet with a reasonable daily caloric intake for the average adult. The food was delicious, and it's impossible to select just one favorite recipe! Besides the recipes, to me, the best part about the book is that she gives daily shopping lists and is smart about using ingredients to save money and time if you follow it front to back (which I did). If you are interested in a raw vegan diet, the 80-10-10 way of eating, or just want to incorporate more healthy choices into your diet, then this book is definitely worth it!     This raw vegan cookbook is the BEST!!! I own many and this one, is way above the rest! The recipes are really YUMMY but the thing I love most is how she gives you a daily shopping list with the prep for each day for future meals. This is what has stumped me on the raw diet in the past. You have to be prepared if your going to make some of the more involved recipes and Lissa has that covered!!!! Now there is no worries! It makes doing the diet simple and worry free. SUCH A GREAT BOOK!!!

    I appreciate the details in this book. Lissa explains things in an easy-to-understand way, just like in her YouTube videos. This isn't just a recipe book, it's truly a 30 day plan just like it says, in which you can follow precisely or substitute another similar meal or ingredients. What's needed for each day is clearly stated, as is any prep work for a later meal. I look forward to Volume 2. All the recipes look phenomenal. I can't wait to try them all.

    the way she describes in the book, without even trying or depriving herself. The recipes are absolutely delicious and she
    shows how one can follow the program without feeling like one is giving up taste. Very worth every penny!

    I love Melissa's IG account and YouTube channel. I have been following her for awhile and her posts are very inspiring and the recipes I have tried so far have been good. The only one I have tried that was a fail was the "taco meat"; and I think that one would have been more appropriate for a food processor than a blender.

    I feel there is some conflicting info in this book though. She stresses eating very low fat and even says at the end that she actually eats lower fat than the recipes contained in the book, however many of the recipes contain nuts or avocados. She says she follows 80-10-10 but only sort of; it's a bit confusing.

    This plan is impractical for people who don't work from home. My life does not revolve around meal prep. As much as I would love to, I don't have time to soak nuts and sprouts and change sprout water 3 times a day. I'm just simply not home. As another reviewer said, the type is too small and light-colored. Everything is crammed on the page and the steps aren't all together. For example, some of the recipes require soaking things in advance but that is in a small paragraph 2 pages before the main recipe.

    It's a great book and definitely worth adding to your raw food book library, however I don't think that it's as practical as it could be.

    Recipes are great. I appreciate her attention to detail when it comes to using ingredients that give the right flavor making it easy to enjoy raw food. I've tried a couple other Raw food cookbooks it looked good sounded good but when I made it I honestly had no desire to finish eating it. With this book I didn't have a problem like that and felt satisfied. I wish the actual book itself was a little better quality and for some the print is small.

    I have no intention of following the plan as presented. However, the book does have some really great recipes. The book is way overpriced at $30. The writing is unpolished, which I find to be the common thread of self-published books. My biggest criticism of this book is the Index. The purpose of a recipe index is to easily find a recipe in the book. It should be alphabetical. It is absolutely useless as presented. The recipes are listed in the order in which they appear in the book, which renders the index unusable. If you stumble on a recipe you really enjoy and want to try it again, good luck finding it without searching through the whole book to find it again.

    I've recently been researching and transitioning to a vegan and raw food lifestyle and came across Melissa's story of dramatic weight loss. In her book Raw Food Romance, she has put together a whole month of delicious meals. Preparations are well detailed,... from what food is required each day, what kitchen tools are required, making it as easy as possible to get started. I'm just beginning the plan, so can't share my results, but from what I've made so far everything is delicious. I don't feel deprived in any way with this "diet".

    Absolutely love this book. Great for starting a raw vegan plant based diet. Even if you aren't using it as a 30 day meal plan, the recipes are fantastic. Really enjoy all the salad dressings and will certainly be using this book forever more. Looking a buying the winter recipe book now to see what other delicious recipes Lissa has to offer. Highly recommend buying this book.

    I liked the idea of 30-days going Raw because as with any life-style change, it takes a good 2-3 weeks at-least for it to kick in and become habit forming. The food and recipes are from the heart and they are well thought-out. It's a delicious way to get lean, healthy and youthful. I bought the eBook and later the physical paper book for my kitchen so that I didn't need to print the recipes :) Highly recommended.
