A. I. Newton has wanted to travel into space, visit another planet, and meet an alien ever since he was a kid. When that didn't work out, he decided to do the next best thing when he grew up-write stories about aliens! The Alien Next Door series gives him a chance to imagine what it's like to hang out with an alien. And you can do the same-unless you're lucky enough to live next door to a real-life alien!

Anjan Sarkar graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in illustration. After that, he worked as an illustrator and graphic designer before becoming a freelancer, where he gets to work on all sorts of different projects for people of all ages! He lives in Sheffield, UK.     Anjan Sarkar is a British illustrator based in Sheffield, England. Anjan graduated in 2001 from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA Hons degree in Illustration with Animation. He went on to work as a freelance illustrator providing images for advertising and concept artwork and storyboards for animation. Since focusing on children’s books in 2016, he has illustrated over 30 titles including picture books, chapter books and early readers books.

    My second grade boy has had a hard time finding a book, let alone a series, that he likes. I bought him the first one for Valentine’s Day figuring if he didn’t like it, oh well. He loved it! It was also entertaining for me and his grandmothers who he facetimes to read to them. He was able to read most words, but still had a bit of challenge. The challenging words weren’t enough to discourage him. Yay! He is now almost done with the series and I’m dreading it! I have enjoyed not begging him to get his reading done.
