Editorial Reviews
Review
"This is a very well put together 'notebook' containing essential information that medical students need to acquire during internal medicine rotations. It is presented in an appealing format that is effective for learning.
"The book was written to enable students to study more efficiently for their clerkships, shelf exams, and boards. It is intended to consolidate important information which otherwise may need to be extracted from multiple sources.
"The authors envision students using this book beginning in their second year of medical school. It will be particularly helpful during third and fourth year internal medicine clerkships.
"All standard subspecialty areas with the exception of psychiatry and women's health are covered. Important clinical points are highlighted in the margins. Tables, illustrations, and clinical vignettes are effectively used.
"This well edited 'notebook' concisely provides pertinent and reliable information on internal medicine related topics. It will be extremely useful during internal medicine clerkships, as well as for preparation for the shelf exam and boards."--Four-Star Review from Doody's Book Review Service (Weighted Numerical Score: 92).

I used this book + UWorld Q bank to study for the shelf and felt adequately prepared.
As far as the product quality itself--the book came in great shape without any mark-ups. It arrived quickly and was packaged well.
I'm super happy with the seller as well because they were actually able to get to me sooner than expected.
HOWEVER, my only qualm is that my new book came a little beat up on the edges. But that's more of a problem with the shipping than anything.
If you have any specific question on the book feel free to message me.
There are few examples:
- Patients with a positive test result should undergo cardiac catheterization (p. 3).
- Hypertensive emergency: Systolic BP >220 and/or diastolic BP >120 (p. 52)
- Multiple myeloma has a poor prognosis with a median survival of only 2 to 4 years with treatment, and only a few months without treatment. The 5-year survival rate is about 10%. (p 356)
All of this info can lead to low score on exams, so this is very important.
