Some of the fingerings in here are weird. For example, in the Fantasie Impromptu there is a run and the editiors fingerings tells the performer to play a c# with the thumb which is a little weird personally. Other than that, the fingerings are pretty accurate and comfortable.

    Amazing edition!

I love Paderewski's edition, and sometime prefer it to the new one of Ekeir. The only thing I didn't like about this music was the cheap quality of paper and how difficult it to stay open on the page, it constantly wants to close. Older Paredewski edition of Chopin's works look absolutely great, with thick paper and open very freely. So, I was kind of upset about that.

I would recommend the Herzag (?) edition of the Impromptus instead of the Paderewski, These are basically urtext and include not only the original Fontana version of the Fantasie but the revised Paris version discovered by Arthur Rubinstein. There are subtle differences between the two versions with the "B" section having some major updates. The Arrau recording has the latter Paris version. Chopin was in the habit of revising some of his works.

Since I could not find the contents of the Paderewski editions I must assume that it contains only the Fontana version.

Penso sia l'editore migliore per Chopin, con tutte le diteggiature e le indicazioni originali
