- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2017Brilliantly written. A perfect reflection back on an era that made cosmetics what they are today. A must read for any glamour girl!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2018This book is full of glossy photos and just a little light on biographical content, possibly due to limited pages. I did learn several new things about makeup in early Hollywood.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2020Excellent!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2016What a fun trip down memory lane! Erika Thomas gives us a treat with this elegantly written book about Max Factor! My fave are the photos and detailed captions with an explosion of interesting tidbits. I loved the beautiful vintage Max factor advertisements as well!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2017I grew up in Hollywood - all the girls used Max Factor makeup! A fun read, interesting peek into the history of makeup, movies, and old Hollywood/Los Angeles!
