- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2022I bought this for my granddaughters ( ages 3 & 5) in preparation for our trip to Paris. Illustrations are lovely. Lots of fun facts. We read the story to them, and they enjoyed it.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2019We were planning a trip to Paris with our 4 1/2 year old. This was a good introduction to the various things we would see there & it was good preparation for him. When we got there, he was excited to see the Eiffel Tower & other landmarks in real life, having read about them first.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2024A very good book, well documented about Paris.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2019We bought this (and the companion book, a walk in London) so my 9 yr old son would play a role in planning our trip to Europe, and it was a perfect way to start a dialogue. It truly hits the top things a kid would be interested in, while also delivering on what adults want to see. He very much referenced it as we organized our days. Also, the artwork is gorgeous.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2014Wonderfully detailed tour of the many neighborhoods of Paris. Famous landmarks and special places are noted, as well as information about the city and the way of life. Maps on inside front and back covers, and helpful index, I bought it for a child, but am keeping it for myself, and I am definitely going to get the author's A Walk in London. For inquisitive or well-traveled children anyone who loves Paris.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2018Very cute book for a little girl who wants to go to Paris! Fun pictures nice story.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2016Beautifully written and illustrated. Ten y/o grand daughter has fallen in love with Paris somehow (she's not been) and she has her whole trip planned due to this lovely book. I would highly recommend it for a young, first time traveler.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2016Incredible! I've been to Paris just once for the full tourist experience, and this children's book really takes me back! I purchased this for a 7 year old who has a new obsession with Paris. The illustrations are perfect - just enough detail to capture the uniqueness of the place with the occasional fun fact and use of the french language to make it educational too. I highly recommend. This book definitely exceeded my expectations.

Very nice little book, with lots to see for the child, and some interesting facts for the grown-ups. Has proved useful in preparation for a trip to Paris with a three year-old.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
The language is a bit difficult for small children even if English is their native language but if an elder person explains the words the book has a lot to give about Paris.
