There is no way to jump to the first 3 chapters in the side bar. There is no page break between the end of the last chapter and the next. Random capitalized words and letters? Did someone just copy and paste the text in without making sure it can be navigated and understood as a textbook?

Had this as a class textbook. I thought it was an interesting read, and the book came in pretty good condition. One thing to note is that it is written by two women, one straight and one LGBT+, which made me feel that the class was a little skewed toward womens' perspective. Not that this is a bad thing, but might mean finding supplemental readings from a male perspective would be helpful to ensure the whole class feels represented if using it for a textbook.

I rented this book for a class. I won't review the content of the book because I don't think that's relevant. I had access to this book via the Kindle app and that worked perfectly for me because it allowed me to view the book on my phone while taking notes on my iPad. If you need to have this book for your class I would suggest renting the electronic version as well.

I’ve actually learned a whole lot reading this book. Chapters aren’t too long and don’t drag on 10/10 would recommend

I'm using this book for a Gender in Communications class. The content is approachable, well developed, and in an organic, intuitive structure. I also love the feature of adding quotes from people about their experiences into each chapter.

I love reading this textbook. It's so well written, easy to understand, unbiased and very interesting! If only it was less expensive to be more accessible to laypeople/students wanting to keep the book.

This text is going for at least $50 in my college bookstore so I though I caught a deal buying it on Kindle for $10 but it is easily the worst ebook construction I have ever encountered. The table of contents has no tabs for the first 3 chapters, there are no hyperlinks anywhere I can find that actually take you to the required chapter, but worst of all the ebook pages do NOT correspond to the actual page numbers in the print book (and therefore the page numbers in the table of contents. Completely worthless.

Works out to @$1.90 per page of reading (not including intro and glossary).

5 stars was for condition and delivery of product.

How this incorporates into my course and is enriching information will be reviewed at the completion of my course.

    So far...it's grossly overpriced.
