Mrs. Jackson did it again. This is my 2nd time reading this book. I absolutely loved Mac and Teri's story but didn't write a review the first time. As a mom, military veteran, and military spouse, I could totally relate to this book. The relational and parenting issues Teri and Mac faced are real. Unfortunately, so are the incidents concerning child abductions and trafficking. I encourage all parents to educate their children about "stranger danger" and how to let others know when they need help. I enjoyed the lead in Pete's story and enjoyed the book as well. You can never go wrong when purchasing a Brenda Jackson Book.

In this book we see Mac the leader of the Seals that Bane Westmoreland is apart of. Mac has gone home to Va to see his family. He has been gone with his guys for eight months. However, when he gets there, the surprise is on him because his mother and father meet him but his wife has left the home. Mac nearly loses his mind because his wife is not there but his daughters are. Mac badgers his mom and dad until he learns the location of his wife.
Teri is Mac's wife and she is trying to get her bearings on a few things. She has had some life changing experiences since her husband has been away. She needs to recoup, alone. She has traveled to the place they spent their honeymoon. Mac promised to bring her there again, but never has. She feels like a failure on many levels. She doesn't know why she and Mac seem to love each other but find they fight so often. She is at a low point in her life.
Mac finds out where Teri is and starts a new mission for himself. However, in this installment of the Seal Team, we see Mac facing what many military men and marriages face. However, to add to the issues marriage can sometimes hold, a natural disaster may make it impossible for Mac and Teri to survive.
Mac finds out his wife has some very hidden talents as well as he MUST change some of his ways or his marriage is doomed to fail.
Teri finds out she has the best thing she could ever have and finds a new way to handle her past issues.. Great read..

This is my first time to read a Brenda Jackson book, but it sure won't be my last! Not only was the story line fantastic, (and I especially loved the intense sexual chemistry between Mac and Teri,) but this book gave me an insight into the lives of SEALs and their wives that I never knew about. She put so much detail and feelings into it that I felt I was right there. I've always been very grateful to the military and their families, but this gave me a whole new perspective on their everyday lives, and I just cannot thank them enough for what they do. Thank you, Brenda Jackson, for a wonderful book, and I am placing an Amazon order for more of the Westmoreland series!

I love the action and thriller of this novel. It's a pager Turner that kept me guessing. Around every corner there seemed to be a problem for the McRoys to solve. Their love for one another claimed them both!

I like to read storylines that take place after the honeymoon is over. Mac and Teri were having some marital troubles. Mac tends to not see Teri as his equal in their marriage. Mainly because he feels he’s supposed to support and protect his family, even when he’s gone for months at a time, he doesn’t appreciate all she does to keep their family going. However, a series of events takes place wherein Mac gets to see the strong, smart, and courageous woman he married.

Mac and Teri have been married for over ten years but whenever he comes home from a mission he creates problems where there aren't any. Enough is enough!

No longer do I want a romance read that tells a story. I want it to show me, immerse me. And without the continuous repetition. I became impatient with reflection and narration which detracted from the characters, and I skipped over half the book. This author is known to me and I expected more of her. The two stars are for the writing/editing.
