- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2015This book is easy to read and surveys the basics of Network Security, Firewall and VPN. Don't order this book if you are looking for something technical.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2022The book is one of the worst technical books I have ever read. First of al, the print is way too small and the various color schemes make some of the material almost impossible to read. After the first two chapters I learned virtually nothing of important technology wise. When I taught college classes for a few semesters, I would never recommend this book. It is poorly written, wanders around, does not stay on subject and offers virtually no important information. I am going to see if I can return this book and get a refund. It is a definite was of time and money. Avoid this book at all costs.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2016nothing wrong with the book, just took too long to get to me so i had to find it else where... But i reference this book often and find it very informational.... though some of the info is dated.... i guess it depends on the context which the book would be used, if you need it for modern information I suggest continue looking, but if you need something to reference the older-ish networking info then this is a good book ....
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2020The bundle is not true as advertised , is just the book without lab access code.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2014Great read for learning VPN fundamantals. The author does a very good job covering the latest VPN and Firewall technologies, even Open Source solutions.
