- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2025This book was good at explaining calculus in an understandable way and helped me ace the class. It was great when I didn’t have the best teacher for calculus to teach me how.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2024The best way to get good at Calculus is with a lot of practice and this book gives the reader a lot of problems to work on.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2025Seems to be a pretty good book and helps to simplify the topic of calculus. It came fast, it was a reasonable price.

Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2019Este libro me sirvió de apoyo para impartir la clase de Calculo de una variable en la Universidad Veracruzana y fue de gran utilidad. Felicito a quien se deba el esfuerzo.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2021Got this book as a review/refresh.
This book's small font is unacceptable — especially on super-script -&- sub-script parameters (e.g. on limits) .
The books paper is very low-grade grey making it harder to read some of the smaller print.
Even if your vision is perfect 20-20, you'll be stressed to read some of the scripts.
It would be much better w/bright white paper and larger font size on the super & sub scripts.
Other than that - book is pretty helpful.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2024It helped some but for some reason I can not for the life of me understand what I'm supposed to be doing in most of these problems. Guess I may be a dummy when it comes to calculus. It helped with some things but looked like gibberish to me mostly. Just my opinion
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2022Meh. It is a workbook. However, I bought this new & it arrived with work already done in it. so the first few chapters (even though review), were of no use to me. I hadn't taken math in decade, I really needed the first few chapters.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2020Bought the book to try to get a head start on Calc for the fall.. ended up extremely confused. This book will not help you learn calc. Save your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would recommend to anyone doing home school
Explains with many examples different types of problems. Good for students home school students and give better sample and in-depth understanding than the so called official books school books. I will say through that I did have to complement this with some YouTube instructional videos when my son got stuck
- Andrew GarradReviewed in the United Kingdom on January 14, 2022
5.0 out of 5 stars Well structured book.
Plenty of areas covered including some pre calculus fundamentals reviewed. Gives a range of examples to assist each section. Possibly best for people who have some or limited knowledge of calculus rather than complete beginner but certainly a worthwhile text to build on and reinforce any existing exposure to the subject.
