    This is a good book for those beginning figure drawing.I found it less complicated than others out there and the method is sound.There are photos you can draw from if you want to do that and the explanations are very clear.Keep it simple and have fun.

    This book is ancient, dating from 1983—though it appears that I received a new copy of it, somehow, not a reprint! In any case, I think this has to be an absolute cornerstone of realistic life drawing: it's articulate, thorough, very well illustrated, and goes deeply into various life drawing approaches that are often just summarized in other books. The idea of including tracing sheets for student exercises is a good one. You can imagine generations of realistic artists having used this for guidance, whether they were enrolled in the (now defunct?) Famous Artists school or not. I don't think this is still in print, but if you can get a copy of it, it's really fundamental.

Voilà comment VOUS devez faire" Ce livre est de la seconde catégorie. Il existe d'autres très bon livres sur le dessin de figure académique (BRIDGMAN en particulier), mais celui-ci ne devrait déplaire à aucun amateur soucieux d'améliorer ses performances dans ce domaine, si joli !!!
