Indonesian Flash Cards: Learn the 300 most common Indonesian words with all their derived forms (Audio Included) (Tuttle Flash Cards) Cards – August 13, 2013
Purchase options and add-ons
Before heading out to Bali, the best way to learn Indonesian is to start practicing with these flashcards and give a boost to your Indonesian language skills. Since Indonesian uses a romanized alphabet, you can read Indonesian without learning a new alphabet or special characters. Each card features definitions, related words, sample sentences, and thematic grouping. This flash cards kit contains:
- 300 hole-punched flash cards featuring the most commonly used words.
- Native speaker audio recordings of 1,200+ Indonesian words and phrases.
- A 32-page study booklet with sorting indexes and practice tips.
- Each card has one main vocabulary item and several derived words.
- Ideal for beginning students of Indonesian and anyone living in the country.
These Indonesian flashcards are an excellent way of gradually increasing your Indonesian vocabulary. Their compact format makes them easy to carry around with you as you go about your regular routine, and you can make use of any spare minutes throughout the day to test yourself or take the next step in your Indonesian language learning. The key to building a working vocabulary is frequent exposure rather than prolonged study sessions, and with these flash cards it is easy to make good use of any odd minutes that would otherwise be wasted—on the bus, standing in line, or over a cup of coffee.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2014The audio CD makes these cards really useful in learning this important language. Have fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2015It's really useful and I use these cards for my students in Indonesian class.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2017We bought the actual cards, and although we both knew a few basic phrases and words in Bahasa Indonesia, we found the cards slightly confusing because it includes derivatives of the words and related words. I think someone who has taken a couple of semesters of a regular Indonesian language class might be able to build his vocabulary with these. As a novice, this could be confusing and an information overload. One good aspect of these cards is that the word is on a different side from the definition, so if you have to turn the card over, then you have to admit that you don't know what the word means and need more study. The review which mentions that the cards and the font size are small is correct. The cards are about 2 inches by 3 inches and the font size seems to be about a 7 point except for the main word which is about 14 point on one side of the card. There is so much wasted white space on the cards
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2017cards are very small and I have a hard time reading them

5.0 out of 5 stars Belajar Bahasa Indonesia
I've been looking for a simple tool to help me learn Indonesian and this does the trick - it's easy to add a custom amount of cards cards each day and commit those to memory... So far I've found around 10 words a day is good as a beginner.
There's 300 cards, containing ~1200 words total. Given there's few resources out there for learning Bahasa Indonesia, I'd recommend these cards as a must. I look forward to tracking my progress over the next couple of months as I expand my vocabulary.
Quality wise - my cards have no defects and are the right size for me. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

1.0 out of 5 stars CD d'indonésien complètement inutilisable

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for beginners + arrived with damaged cards
We are complete beginners and studying Indonesian to move to Indonesia. I was hoping these cards could get us started alongside our private tutoring however the vocab that we need to study is too basic for these cards. The vocab covered on these cards is quite advanced.
Also, most cards were in perfect condition however a section of them had a manufacturing defect that damaged the corner with the hole that threads onto the ring. They can't be put on the ring because they are torn.
