The English text of this "new" printing of this vocal score published by Schirmer is relatively tiny. But, more importantly, it is blurred. It looks as if it could be a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy?! I struggled trying to practice singing my parts with it for more than a month. Then I finally started searching for another edition/printing of it. Luckily, I found a used one on Amazon. It has the same English translation and exactly the same pages, etc. The text is the same, just as small as the first one I bought, but it is better printing quality and MUCH clearer and easier to read. The publisher for this used one is "G. Schirmer - New York/London" vs. "Hal-Leonard" for the first book I bought. It is apparently an older printing? It's a little hard to say because there aren't any publishing dates given in either book. This was very disappointing; it's the first time I've had such an experience with a G. Schirmer score! I attached photos of a page from the "new" book (first file) vs. the used book (second file), both of which I bought on Amazon. I hope the photos will show the difference. It may help if you can expand the images on your screen.

    It does the job and I love fast shipping. I always wish with schirmer scores that it was more of a direct translation from italian, and not the english version of the opera. It would also be easier to read if the italian wasn't in italics as well. I sang Dorabella and found a couple of note errors and a few word errors with this score. This is nothing that checking a Nico Castel libretto can't fix, it would just be more convenient for singers if it was accurate and easier to read. All in all, it did the job but if you want to make your life easier check out Barenreiter.
