- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2014I'm always on the hunt for life and faith changing/challenging books, and I have to say that this is one of them! There are many apologetics books out there today, and they range from very simple to overly technical, but this one finds a nice place in the middle (but leaning toward more heavy/technical). The book is well laid out in a question and answer format and really goes after the challenging questions of Christianity in our day. The issues of truth, worldviews, creation, evolution, law, evil, historicity and deity of Christ, purpose of life, and ethics/morals are all addressed, as well as abortion at the end of the book.
As I said, this book is not overly technical. The authors try to present the weighty subject matter in a clear and understandable way, but the book is still heavy in ideas and content. The book is divided into nice fairly short sections under each heading for quick reference and reading, and there are also illustrations to aid in comprehension of the ideas being discussed.
Overall, this book is worth working through, and I strongly say that this is my number one source on the apologetic issues it addresses. I highly encourage all Christians at some point to work through this book for an "unshakable foundation" for their faith.
(Also, I do not necessarily agree with the progressive view of creation presented on pgs. 175ff. I do not claim to have a complete answer to this question, as it is highly debated today by intellects much greater than my own. But it is the one section of the book where I wasn't sure I completely agreed, even if I don't have a completely thought out view myself. It is an intriguing model though).

- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2018I'm using this book for a class in philosophy. The class is relating philosophy to Christianity. Mr. Geisler has written a wonderful book and it has many different points and significant links four ones understand World Views and how to develop a Christian worldview perspective. It has helped me so much in this class, I believe that I quote this book more than any other in my papers. He has written this book so that even the simplest reader can understand what he is saying and how to apply what he has said to the real world
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2006This book is a must read for all students in a secular environment, and for anyone seeking a reasonable defense of the Christian faith. Evolution and moral relativism are not satisfying answers logically or practically. Geisler does a masterful job of removing the scientific underpinnings of evolutionary faith and establishing a well reasoned defense of Intelligent Design. He further takes on issues such as justice and absolute moral standards vs. relativistic morality and judicial philosophy. THe last section of the book points to every man's need for Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and establishes the Bible, as God's revelation, as the only proper epistemoligical starting point.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2019excellent read!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2013Many Christians cannot give answers beyond, "you've just got to have faith." This book provides answers for both Christians and skeptics.
Anyone who does not believe in the existence of God, should read this book with an open mind. If you are intelligent and well educated you will be challenged to rethink your understanding. It may well change you from an atheist to an agnostic. Perhaps your intellectual integrity/virtue will be challenged to take the next step of researching the claims of Christ for your self.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2021A book that will deepen a believers overall faith and understanding of the gospel.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2021Recommend to everybody who want to know true and want to have biblical world view.

5.0 out of 5 stars A gem of a book
Recommended for anyone who would like to more clearly identify and defend his worldview; while the authors are Christians, I found the book goes well beyond providing tools to defend one's faith. The two authors are theologian/philosopher and engineer, so the contents can provide for interesting intellectual challenges at times. The kind of book you read once and keep, to study in more detail on a second read.
