- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2014This book is simply awesome. It explains the matter in a way that it sticks but never sounding like it is written for children or retards.
The book consists of three parts interwoven throughout the book. For beginners start with Blue level one and only do the parts marked Level One, once you mastered that basic understanding you return to the start of the book and go on with the parts marked Level Two with more in depth knowledge, after that return to the beginning again for part three, Level Three, in depth advanced knowledge is where its at at Level Three.
I utterly enjoy this book, I keep picking it up again to read another part en enjoy the notion that i actually get it!
It is rather an expensive book compared to so many other Cardio books out there and i have many of them at home but this one is worth every penny and i could have done without all the other books had i found this one earlier.
Go get it!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2017Great book. I've read Dubin's, and this is the next step up. If you really want to get a good grasp of EKGs, you should take the time and sit down and read through this text. Has different levels for each EKG interpretation so you can read through multiple times and take away more from each EKG every time. Can honestly say I've learned more from this book than any other EKG book/teaching module. Takes a bit longer than some of the other books but it is WORTH IT! I can now do a quick interpretation of most EKGs I encounter (which includes calculating the exact axis and z-axis) in under 30 seconds! I still have much to learn and look forward to re-reading this book a few more times!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2016If you are willing to buy only one book for ECG learning, this book should be it. Rather expensive compared to other introductory text, but every penny you invest will count. I have tried a few introductory text to master ECG, but none of them was as easy and applicable as this text. The author is a paramedic who became physician, and he presents difficult concepts in easy way so many allied healthcare providers who doesn't have medical degree can also utilize it. ECG is complex and daunting subject to study for new learners, but by the time you finish this book and if you read it front to back carefully, you will realize you actually can read ECGs.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2019This book was refreshingly easy to read and helped me to understand the basics of 12-lead EKG reading which is essential in the medical field. I used it to help me understand and supplement my school content for anesthesia school. A lot of “oh that’s why!” moments because I never fully understood some concepts when I used to work in the ICU. Worth the buy!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars A fraud
1) The book itself is far inferior to the first edition. Much less comprehensive. Just look at the fact that it has 200 fewer pages.
2) The company that sent the book can be worse.
It was the ONLY time since I purchased items from any Amazon within the European Union (amazon.es, amazon.fr, amazon.it and amazon.de) that any item was held at customs. I had to go through the entire bureaucratic customs clearance process and on top of that I had to pay an additional fee of 11.05 euros!
Unbelievable!
And I have bought in the past items from China, India, Israel, UK and USA without any problem.
They get one star because there are no negative stars. Otherwise, they would have 5 negative stars.
Terribly bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE 12-lead book for learners.
This book is WONDERFUL. Well written, and very much points out that ECG interpretation is an art, and as much as it is science, there is a subjective factor as well. Great at teaching the basics if you're having difficulty understanding the concepts of ECGs, in particular 12-leads.
Great for med students, paramedics/EMTs, nurses and many others. I have recommended this book to all those I've been mentor or preceptor to in the past, and I will continue to do so. I use it myself to review at times as well.
10/10, definitely recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing ECG book - if read correctly
I was recommended this book by a colleague when I was just starting to learn the dark art of ECG interpretation. This book is amazing and takes you through every little bit of ECG interpretation - but only if you read it correctly. This might sound strange but you read and interpret the ECGs at Level 1 before starting the book while reading the level 2 pieces of text. Again the same for the third read but for level 3.
I recommend this book to anybody who is starting out to learn ECGs! Very much worth the money.....
