1 of 2 books I read as part of the requirements for ACSI teacher certification. As I remember, this is the book I liked best of the two. The book is packed with lots of great info.

Absolutely loved the book. Very informative for teachers with no Christian Education background. This book has definitely helped me to better understand and successfully develop a Christian Philosophy of Education!

Very good book for teachers developing their philosophy of education based on a biblical worldview. Written in a much more easily understood verbiage than most books on the same topic.

The book helped me process my philosophy of Christian education in a step by step process which included several stopping points to think through questions raised. It helped me put into words what I believe about Christian education.

McCullough does a nice job outlining her (as well as many others) Philosophy of Education in this book. Many good points that, if actually followed, would result in very intentional teaching and learning. A good read.

The book is not a heavy-weight philosophical tome, but rather a practical assistant for anyone wanting to think more carefully about how their worldview and philosophy of education are related. The book could profitably be used in a teacher education class or by a small group of active teachers who want to think together about shapes their daily choices in the classroom. If you're interested in becoming more reflective rather than succumbing to the daily pressure to simply perform, this book could be very helpful. Dr. MacCullough doesn't push specific conclusions, but challenges every teacher to think carefully about the goals of teaching, the nature of students, their own role and their curricular choices. I'm planning to use the book with Christian school administrators in Asia who have a very different educational background from the US experience that seems to be presupposed by the author. However, I believe that the reflective questions in the book will be of value beyond the US.
