    I really enjoyed the shortcuts offered from appetizers to dinner to dessert. There are definitely a lot of recipe options offered throughout this book. That said, I did feel that many of the recipes started to repeat themselves almost excessively in some cases. I expected there to be more photos and to be better formatted since it's a Better Crocker Book series and Pillsbury showcasing their premade dough options.

    The highlights were the turtle cookies and the pretzel recipes for me.

    There are a ton of recipes in this cookbook, ranging from family friendly to exotic; some have long ingredient lists, some are short. Many of them have caught my eye! But, speaking of catching my eye.... this cookbook is lacking in the picture department. I know it's silly, but I eat with my eyes and gravitate toward the pictures. I was pretty disappointed to see that not all the recipes have pictures and honestly probably wouldn't have purchased the book if I had realized this in advance. I still think there are some great recipes in here so I'm going to keep it and give it a shot
