Curious George is one of the most beloved children’s book characters ever created! H. A. Rey and his wife, Margret, first introduced the world to the bighearted, fun-loving troublemaker-hero Curious George in 1941, and young readers have been in love with him ever since.

Editorial Reviews
Review
"A solid addition to an easy-reader selection"
--School Library JournalAbout the Author
Hans and Margret Rey created many books during their lives together, including Curious George, one of the most treasured classics of all time, as well as other favorites like Spotty and Pretzel. But it was their rambunctious little monkey who became an instantly recognizable icon. After the Reys escaped Paris by bicycle in 1940 carrying the manuscript for the original Curious George, the book was published in America in 1941. More than 200 Curious George titles followed, with 75 million books sold worldwide. Curious George has been successfully adapted into a major motion picture and an Emmy-winning television show on PBS. www.curiousgeorge.com.

About the author
![H. A. Rey](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21LLD8nVMtL._SY600_.jpg)
Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2014Saving the honeybees is a very timely topic and my grandson (7 years old) was extremely excited when the newest
book in the C.G. series arrived in his mailbox. He was jumping up and down and screaming. He absolutely loves
every Curious George paperback book he receives and wants it read to him over and over. I have always admired
the simplicity of the story line, the colorful and charming illustrations and the way the books conclude with a not--too-preachy moral at the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2014We have every single one of the Curious George books, classic and the CGTV early reader. LO loves the CGTV one better because they are more colorful. As he grow older (he's only 3 right now), I am sure he will appreciate the classic more and more. Started reading to him from day 1, and haven't stopped. Love it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2019This is a children's story book not a technical publication. So license is apparently taken. The good part is it's fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2018Cute- my kid isn't old enough to understand much yet, but as a beekeeper I found it humorous.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2017The book was simple. My big complaint is the picture on the cover. Above Curious George's head is a bald faced hornets' nest NOT a bee hive!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2015Another one of Curious George's adventures that my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves me to read her. How can you go wrong with George in your library?
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2014This was a gift for my granddaughter who loves Curious George. Another great story for her to enjoy and arrived within the timeframe advertised.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2015I was expecting more information about the actual bees themselves, rather than how to build a beehive, that may or may not work. I bought this for my granddaughter (age 5) as she seems interested in my bees, but it is more about George and his friend and how they build stuff.

This is ridiculous.
When tried to open this e-book (bought through Amazon Store) in Kindle-paper-white, i got the message "the item is not compatible with this device".

4.0 out of 5 stars Not much to it
Expensive for what you get but my daughter is loving the curious George stories so I don’t mind buying her a few at a high price.
