- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2012I am SO happy to have this book. I did not realize prior to purchasing this book that there were so many different applications of play therapy in use across several theoretical models. If you have a theoretical model you like, I'm sure this book touches on how play therapy can be incorporated into your model. It's a keeper for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2013I believe that every educator should have the opportunity to read this book. It gave clear and insightful strategies, background, and applicable applications for the educator to implement in his or her classroom. Especially since the majority of hurting and victimized children are in the school system, they deserve to have their needs met and be brought to healing.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2013This book is an in depth overview of various play therapy techniques and how they are implemented. The author has provided many examples and some interventions for each modality. Helps the reader get a fuller understanding of the differences and requirements for the various kinds of play therapy that are used in child psychotherapy.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2009This is an excellent reference text for viewing various models of play therapy. I use it as an additional text in a course I teach called Counseling the Distressed Child. It serves to help see how various pratitioners of different models of play therapy would work with children and families.
