My child had to read this book for an assignment and I’m glad she did. She learned so much just by reading this book.

My second grade son LOVES the Tia Lola series - and it's the first series he's really stuck with. We hope Ms. Alvarez will write more of chapter books for kids (her adult fiction is fantastic too).

Lovely book for 9 year old daughter. The stories are simple but deal with complex feelings. This is good writing as well, better than everything else I have seen. A good book for aspiring writers.
