This is an excellent review of issues which affect individuals when they make medical and health maintenance choices. In today's environment of "the business of health care" it is wise to consider what happens to the patient when he or she leaves the medical clinic. Why do they take their prescribed medication? Why don't they return for their appointment? Do they have insurance? Did they call the doctor about their test results? All of these concerns are addressed very well within this publication.

I had to rent this book for one of my courses. This book is filled with socialist viewpoints and cherry-picked statistics that are statistically insignificant or taken out of context in order to push the author's radical agenda. Unfortunately, the author doesn't try to educate the reader on determinants of health in an unbiased manner.

It's a lot smaller than I expected, which is okay because it's not as heavy.
I also didn't realize it would be all black-and-white, there's no colours on the inside which makes it a little dull and seem like the unofficial copy, but I believe all the information is there, so that's good. (Maybe because it's a soft cover version?)
Looks brand new, packaged well, overall I'm very pleased with it :)
