    今回も他の巻同様、事件の素早い展開に危うく足をすくわれそうになり、ハラハラ、ワクワクする。ただ、誠に仕方の無いことだが、僕らにはあまり馴染みは無いがアメリカ人には常識だと思われるような事実（例えば本巻の 5）では George Herman “Babe” Ruth , Jr. の記録が謎解きの基礎になっている）には、全く歯が立たない。他の巻の中には、謎解きの裏に文化的な事柄（違い?）が隠されているものもある。こういったものは、事実の確認や言葉の勉強だけではダメで、その文化の中で濡れネズミになって育たないと、残念ながら、なかなか身につかないものだ。
