    This book is a great time saver. Instead of searching through several books and websites to plan for K-2 PE, it is all right here in one awesome book. You simply select one activity out each of the different categories they have to make up a complete PE lesson. Many of the activities are so simple. They require very little set up and mostly common PE equipment (there are enough activities in this book that you can skip the ones that require equipment you don't have and still have plenty to do). The authors put a very creative spin on common exercises, making PE very fun for young kids. This is what PE is all about for young kids, making sure that they enjoy physical activity. I teach children ages PK-8 at my school and have always found it more difficult to plan for the younger kids, this book has changed all of that. I plan to buy the next in the series (grades 3-5) in the near future.

I am also a PE teacher and this book is great. the closing activity games in the back are good for classroom activities when the gym is being used for other events. most of the activities are great and the ones that I don't like give me great ideas and can be easily modified. I bought the other three books in the set because I liked this one so much.

    I love this resource, and for the life of me cannot understand why there has not been a reprint. As a new teacher I discovered this source in my university library. It guided my practicum unit planning, and I missed it terribly in my first year of teaching. It gives example unit plans, simple illustrations to guide practice, and how to structure a day/lesson, and what to look for in assessment.

    I’ve bought K-2, but plan on buying the set. These are too good to need and not have.

    My copy from this distributor came very gently used and in good condition. (Think new, but had been on a backpack so a few dings on the pages/ a bit of ware on the spine).
