I'd say about 60% of the questions were helpful in preparing for my psych shelf exam, while the other 40% were just bad questions (either too nitpicky, or testing on material not applicable to the 3rd year psych shelf). I got a 95 raw score on the shelf, but felt that Case Files, and to a lesser extent UWorld, were the resources that made the difference.
If you get this book as a hand-me-down, use it, otherwise, spend your limited study time on something else.
