About the Author
Jane O’Connor was born and raised in the fabulous metropolis of New York City. That’s where she still lives with her husband, Jim, although both their grown sons did something unfathomable (that means impossible to understand). They moved to the West Coast! Besides writing the Fancy Nancy series and other books for children, Jane spent her whole career as an editor at major publishing houses. Recently retired, she finds herself with something she never had before—free time to do whatever she pleases.
Robin Preiss Glasser has illustrated many acclaimed picture books, including the bestselling Fancy Nancy series, Lambslide, Escape Goat, and Grand Jeté and Me: A Christmas Holiday Book for Kids. She won the Children’s Choice Award for Best Illustrator of the Year for Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet. Robin actually wore tiaras and tutus when she danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Now she happily spends her days in jeans, drawing. Robin and her family live in Southern California.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2018Ahhh, Fancy Nancy. I can't even begin to tell you how much my five-year-old daughter loves these books! Ever since we started reading these books about the very imaginative and fancy Nancy Clancy, my daughter always asks me to read at least one of these every day.
Fancy Nancy: Bubbles Bubbles, and More Bubbles! is another installment in the I Can Read! Beginning Reading series. This book is considered Level One so it's perfect for new readers. In this book, Nancy and her classmates are going to see a bubble show but her best friend, Bree gets sick on that day. Nancy is a good friend and makes sure Bree still gets to experience the fun of bubbles!
My daughter loves these books and I do too (even my son likes them)! The stories are fun and perfect for young readers. I started reading these books to my twins when they were four and they are great for anytime during the day and bedtime. I like that the words and sentences are fairly simple so beginning readers can more easily grasp the story and learn to read. Because Nancy uses some fancy words, we also learn some synonyms!
We love these books and own a number of them! We read several throughout the day and they are perfect for car trips too. We love the Fancy Nancy picture books too but I feel these are better for beginning readers because the print is easier for them to read whereas the picture books use a fancier font. If you have a beginning reader, these are great books to start with!
