About the Author

Fr. Edward Looney was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Green Bay in June 2015, and is an internationally recognized Marian theologian, writer, speaker, and radio personality. Author of the best-selling books, A Heart Like Mary s and A Rosary Litany, he has also written several works on the American-approved Marian apparition received by Adele Brise in 1859 in Champion, Wisconsin. He currently serves as Administrator of two rural Wisconsin parishes.

I believe that any Catholic would benefit from reading Lenten Journey With Mother Mary. I liked each day’s reading and learning more about the Marian apparitions. Of course I had heard of some of them, but not all that were described in this book. It was good that each day we had a story, a prayer, and an assignment to complete to help us on our Lenten Journey.

This is such a beautiful book...the content is so good. It brings peace to the reader, as it brings the reader closer to our Heavenly mother. I cannot express how wonderful it is.

My company is that I got to page 104, on a brand new paperback book, and with each turn of the page, the page falls loose from the binding. Hugely disappointing, as I love books, and don't consider them disposable.

Perhaps there is a hardcover version with better binding?

This is one of my favorite book of meditations for lent. I really felt like I was going on a pilgrimage. The meditations are short and not too heavy but very thought provoking. Each day involves a quote, meditation, prayer and Easter action. The author shares stories from his own life as well as others he has met on his pilgrimage. This book is a keeper.
