Flicker: Your Brain on Movies & the Gospill - Kindergarten Cop.
PG-13 - 1990 ‧ Comedy/Action ‧ 1h 51m
In this action-comedy, unusual circumstances find big, brawny cop John Kimble (Arnold Schwarzenegger) posing as a kindergarten teacher in order to apprehend major drug lord Cullen Crisp (Richard Tyson), as well as his ruthless accomplice and mother, Eleanor (Carroll Baker). While pretending to be a kid-friendly instructor, Kimble falls for pretty fellow teacher Joyce Palmieri (Penelope Ann Miller) as he battles both unruly children and dangerous bad guys.
It goes to show you how you should never underestimate the kids who step into your life unexpectedly and uninvited because sometimes God will set your ship on fire in the middle of a stormy sea for someone to see, who will be used to rescue you as big change comes in small packages. It's a beautiful and powerful message that reminds us that we never know what kind of help we may find in unexpected places. It also encourages us to be open to change, even when it comes in small packages. It's a wonderful reminder that no matter how dark our storms may seem, there is always hope and help available. See how a kid can bring healing and change into someone's life.

All these years later, it's still a great movie. It does have some swearing in it (hence the PG-13 rating) and there is some violence involving guns, but it isn't explicit or gory. If those things are not an issue for you, this is a great movie to watch with the family.
The audio and video are amazing as Kino Lorber did a 4k scan from the original negative.
Recommended to fans of Arnold's movies, fans of Ivan Reitman's movies, or just someone looking for a great movie to sit down and watch with the family.
