This smells like cat food, so when I opened the very small packets (think vacuum sealed tuna with half the food) the kitties came running! My American Bulldog is very polite and allowed her feline siblings to have first dibs at her food bowl. Poor baby was disappointed when 2 very tiny kitties ate it all in less than a minute. Our little guy (Chihuahua mix) is getting along in years & has lost a lot of teeth. The shredded wet Mini-Meal lets him dine without trying to crunch thru dry food. The 3oz serving size (2Xday) seems right to keep him at a steady weight. The individual packets keep the food fresh until served. The price for this particular offering is the best I've found; $5 cheaper than when it goes on sale at our local big-box pet store. The review template asked me to rate the flavor, but I must decline as -- I hope -- would we all. One thing: if it sits in his bowl for a while, the gravy will settle out, but it remixes easily with a quick stir of a fork.
