I spent a good deal of time looking through countless reviews of these things for a while and i decided to just pull the trigger on one of them because it seems like whenever its time to do a review all people know how to do is complain.
BUY THIS it holds your phone and works flawlessly. There is NO problem getting this clip to click on to the controller securely. Snaps on effortlessly. OH and let me debunk the android only myth. As of this review, you can connect Dualshock 4 controllers to the iPhone, and this clip works perfectly. Just put that OTG cable or whatever they call it in the trash. you wont need it. Clip holds my iPhone XS Max with a thick Otter Box case around it with no problem what so ever. Stop searching through reviews and just add it to your cart. Trust me this is what you are looking for.

Works great for PS4 remote play. Also works great for Steam Link. Had I known the PS4 controller can control the computer mouse remotely on Steam Link I would have bought a PS4 controller years ago since an Xbox controller can’t even do that.

This mount works great. You can adjust the phone display angle to your liking. Also this is pretty sturdy. I was expecting it to be flimsy, but it is rock solid once you mount it on your controller. This is a great product

Most of these clips seem to be fairly similar, but this one definitely works as intended, with a good grip and is more sturdy than it initially seems when you get it out of the box.

However! There's a flaw with this clip and all other similar ones that can be tricky to work around. If you have a phone with a volume or power button toward the center, the clamp will push down on the button and cause problems! I have a Pixel A4 with this problem, though I was able to semi-fix it by getting it to grip to the edge of a Spigen phone case. It's definitely not secure, but it stays put while I use it if I don't move it. Unfortunately, I don't think any other clip would solve this problem, as they all seem to have the same center-clamp.

Two other minor side notes: the phone will only fit in landscape mode, and, because I ordered it with one other small item, Amazon put it in an envelope, causing the box to get damaged.

All that aside, still quite happy with it!

does what it supposed to for me, not gonna lie was iffy because some review's said it was fragile or hard to but on etc... once i got it i did notice the plastic did feel cheap bit if ur not rough with it you can in fact get it to fit and lock in place on your controller and also i had no problem taking it off and placing it on a 2nd controller. But other than that it works great no problems so far.

With IOS13 adding PS4 controller support I wanted to grab one of these to use with my iPhone. My 6s plus fits nicely even with the extra otterbox case I have on it!
The mount itself was a little difficult to get on the controller as it fits VERY tightly, I had to use a spudger to push on the tab to get it to snap in place. But once its on, its very sturdy. Whats great about this mount is you can tighten it so the phone stays at the angle you put it at which is great for when you are playing in bed.
I don't know how long the plastic tab will last, but for now, it lets me play Madden before bed so that makes it a 5/5 in my book

UPDATE: the Plastic tab was so tight that I actually cracked it in half, but it still functions as intended so I still think it deserves the stars I gave it

When I first attempted to install the mount it seemed to be too small for the controller. Rather, you have to push hard on the plastic to it feels like it is going to break. For that reason I have kept the mount on at all times, folding the phone clip part back when playing using TV to prevent breaking it in taking the clip off. This is a slight inconvenience, but at least when the phone isn't attached the plastic is light enough to hardly be felt.

Durability aside, this is a good case for what it sets out to do. It makes Remote Play and Steam in-home way more enjoyable and feel closer to an actual handheld than putting the phone flat on the table.
