THE FOURTEENTH CLIFFEHAVEN NOVEL BY SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR ELLIE DEAN

Cliffehaven, May 1944

The tension is rising for Peggy Reilly and the inhabitants of Cliffehaven as the planes continue to roar above the town and there is still no news of the long-awaited Allied invasion into France. There seems to be no end in sight of this war which has scattered her family and brought conflict right to the door of Beach View Boarding House, but Peggy cannot work miracles and the toll of the war is beginning to weigh on her slender shoulders.

Meanwhile, Ron Reilly has landed himself in hot water with his sweetheart, Rosie – and this time, his Irish charm will not be enough to get him out of trouble.

The war has forever changed the lives of Peggy’s loved ones, but with the promise of an Allied invasion comes the hope that her beloved husband and family will at last be coming home. It will take an enormous amount of spirit to keep that hope alive and bring harmony back to Beach View.

FIND LOVE. FIND HOPE. FIND CLIFFEHAVEN.

With a Kiss and a Prayer is set almost exclusively in Cliffehaven in the heart of Ellie Dean's world: the Beach View Boarding House.

This book had many ups and downs , with one tragic ending. As usual Ellie wrote in her style that made you feel like you were part of Peggies family.

I really tried hard to not read the whole book so quickly, but I couldn't put it down. Another triumph in writing for Ellie Dean. Though this "episode" leaves more questions than usual, you get to feel the struggle to maintain equilibrium on the home front. Just about everyone is overwhelmed by stressors of different kinds, which seems to be the book's theme, and how everyone reacts to the stress and reacts to the stress in others makes for a riveting story. I have the next one on pre-order and will try to maintain my equilibrium until it comes out.

This is a good light fictional story of historical events in England during World WarII. I recommend the entire 15 book series.

If you are an Ellie Dean fan and a Beachview Cottage fan, this new installment will not disappoint!! The war years are slowly drawing to a final push, D-Day, and as the world swirls around the challenges, Peg and crew must fight to keep their faith and joy. I loved seeing past characters return, Ron's inevitable hijinks, and even the ferrets get a bit out of hand. It was a jolly great read, and I can't wait to see the opening chapters of the next book due out in August. Thank you, Ellie. Visiting Cliffhaven always feels like going home.

I am on my 14th book in this series...I think I really enjoy it more because I am an ex-pat..I was born right at the end of this war and my father served in the RAF..I love the colloquial English accents...I feel as I’m part of this war time family🤗

I love all the books in this series. I have read them all and can't wait for the next one. My favourite character is Peggy, but I also love Ron and Cordelia. These books are very well written.

Well another Ellie Dean Book enjoyed. I have followed up
The Series of these books. you feel like you are in there with
Them . And feel you know them all as though they are real.
But know they aren't..but a lovely series or Saga of the family
Life of the family in Cliffehaven with Peggy. Ron. And Frank.
And the Girls that lodge there .Ivy. Rita. Sarah. & Fran.
They are like a real family. I have read all the series and love
Them. this Book I couldn't put down till I read it. But after I had
It seems the end came to Quickly. Good book lots of action it.
With Poor Danuta turning up in Hospital in the Memorial
Hospital in Cliffehaven. Been brought back from Europe
There the Dreadful Nazis tortured her. I know what I would
Like to have called them but won't. And then thought of
Poor Ron will he make it with Rosie. Well it leaves you in
The Air there. Till the New Book that will be out I. August.
Which I'll Buy. Just this story line. Book. Just home from
Home. Didn't want it to end the book. So it will always
Get Five stars from me. On this. Ellie Dean.
Just lots going on in it. With Stans wife Ethel getting arrested
For stealing with Olive. Felt sorry for Stan. But he will get on
With his Grand daughter looking after him. And then thought
Doris had met her end. After her house got blown up by the
Rocket. But alas no. Not her. She is impregnable. But
She annoys me with her Bossy posh ways. And how Peggy
Puts up with her. I don't know. I'd tell her it's my House.
You toe the line like everyone else. And she gets what she's
Given. By Peggy. Instead of demanding the whole front
Bedroom. It's not her house. She should be in the Attic.
Not Rita and Ivy. I would definitely not let her have her own
Way in Peggy house. .even if she was bombed out..
She is a very cheeky stuck up woman. how they tolerate
Her God only knows Ron had the best Idea about her.
I like Ron he's a great Charater. Makes the series.
Well done Great Book.. I will definitely be reading the next
New one. Fabulous.
