Excellent reference for cardiovascular diseases. I used this text during my medical residency and cardiovascular fellowship. I wanted to have an updated version for reference. On a personal note, I met J. Willis Hurst, the editor of earlier versions of this text, in 1985 when he came to lecture at my medical school. I got to meet one of my idols at the airport and drive him to the medical center. He passed away in 2011.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware of Amazon service
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 23, 2020
I was aware of previous reviews where some had only received one of the two volumes. I didn't think that could be a problem now. Amazon must have fixed this. I mean, how hard can it be just to send both volumes? I was wrong.

I only received volume 1. I am having problems getting volume 2 as Amazon won't send me the missing volume. It seems that my only chance is to return my volume and take the chance that I will receive both volumes next time, and I'm not so confident.

I like the book. But I'm giving it one star to raise awareness of this apparently common problem. Amazon, this is not complicated stuff! Publisher, please just plaster the two volume togethers and problem solved!
