You don't need to get carried away with typos or whatever you think the Paleo definition should include or exclude, after all I don't know of any cavemen who cooked out of a kitchen either, so we can either get picky, or just do the best we can with what we have, then take a chill pill, and speaking of things chill, I noticed one reviewer got picky over the key lime pie recipe, claiming it was not a pie but a smoothie; So call it key lime pie smoothie in a glass, who cares, it tastes like heaven.
After trying the chicken wing's I could plainly see that every person at that table was in agreement with me that this was a great book, as clearly no sound could be heard during the normally raucous ordeal otherwise known as dinner and the empty plates said more than words could ever say. My advice, just cook it and then see if you want to complain over a typo or a definition later. This book cost me less than a dollar, so yeah, well worth the cost.
Try one recipe a day for a whole year, as there is exactly 365 recipes in here and that my friend's is what we commonly label, as value for money. A great effort, good job.
There is a table of contents, but nothing is organized-- not alphabetically, not by type (soups, sandwiches, etc.) nothing.
I believe this is because the author has NO paleo cooking experience. I think she copied her recipes from websites. Some recipes are convoluted and complicated. That I could deal with. The problem here is most recipes are SO ridiculously simple that most of the book reads like a cookbook for children.
Here is an example: Paleo Turkey Sandwich
2 slices Paleo bread
Paleo mustard
2 slices avocado
Slices of roast turkey
Put together like a sandwich
This is Literally a recipe-- a turkey sandwich with avocado on it. No explanation on how to make the bread or mustard. No directions on how to roast the turkey. Another recipe tells you to saute things until done. Again, no directions for how long, how hot, etc. What a ridiculous book.
DO NOT BUY. Go online and look up recipes on paleo blogs. I wish I had done this before buying this "book."
