Adhesive is great
5 Stars
Adhesive is great
I'm allergic to latex and some adhesives in tapes, band-aids, electrodes, etc. So my skin reacts negatively and often will not adhere to my Eversence adhesive pads. But when I use this product it not only keeps me from breaking out it also keep the sensor in place.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered this glue. I use it for my cgm and now omnipod and it works the best. It keeps the stickers on even in the summertime. Through showers and all it never gets too lose. It is a little sticky when peeling off after a week but manageable. Definitely recommended.

We've always bought this product to help put extra adhesive on over the Dexcom G6 item. Since switching to the Dexcom G7 I've not had to use it so far. But this item adheres items very well and has not irritated my skin in any way, and believe me I am allergic to most everything. It was very quick shipping and no problems at all with this purchase

It worked great for keeping the tape stuck to me and not peeling up at the edges, however it is more runny than I expected. It ran from where I put it on my shoulder into my armpit and glued my armpit shut. Alcohol does not remove it as well as I expected. Baby powder finally let me keep my skin apart. I now have tac away on hand for future mishaps. It works great, but be more careful than I was.

I ordered this to use when applying my (3yo) sons Dexcom g6 because the adhesive on it is small and he likes to pull it off. When using this product it sticks it on so well that my son cannot peal his Dexcom off on his own, and I don’t have issues with the edges pealing up. If I do it is very easy to apply it under the lifted flap thanks to the sponge applicator under the cap. I feel like this is a great alternative to the wipes because I can be much more precise on where I am applying it to ensure I am not placing it where the needle inserts. It does take slightly longer than the wipes to get tacky but I feel it is worth it. Make sure to leave the bottle standing upright at all times after opening though, if it is laying on its side it will drip out the sides of the cap (could be operator error) and is fairly difficult to clean up because of how sticky it is. If putting it in a diabetic bag I would recommend making sure it is in a ziplock!

As a t1 diabetic, I wear both a cgm and an insulin pump, and the adhesives on the devices themselves isn’t always great. I use liquid skin tac and overlay patches from expression med to keep it all on. It’s especially useful in the summer months with high humidity. The liquid from of skin tac comes with a “wand” that screws into the top of the bottle and is very easy to apply in strategic spots. If your patch starts to peel off (not common but can happen), just add a little more skin tac.

This stuff is extremely sticky. If you spill, it can be easily cleaned up with an alcohol wipe. To peel the adhesive off your skin once ready, I use goo-gone applied to a cotton ball. Finally, yes, you can still bathe or swim with this stuff on.

I'm torn on this review. The product itself deserves a five-star rating, however It works so well that it took a layer of my skin off to the point where I bled, had to clean it with antibacterial soap and then put a special barrier on top of it. I have a colostomy and have trouble with adhesion during the summertime when it's hot. This stuff is very, very sticky and works great at keeping your appliance on. It works so well that I did try it again but this time I put on an extra layer of my skin barrier spray before putting on the Skin Tac and only put a dab of Skin Tac on at 4 points on my skin where the barrier wafer would touch. Fingers crossed that I don't lose more skin because I really love this product!
