Smells like perfume or cologne! Very disappointed! Said "odor free" in the product details and no inactive ingredients listed in the product details, nor on the tube. After I bought it, I read the entire tube before I tried it. No fragrance listed. I had expected a little menthol smell, but not cologne! When it had a strong scent, I came back to look at the product page again. Yep! No fragrance listed in the product information nor tube, but states "no odor." Then, I found an image with inactive ingredients listing "fragrance," but that wasn't listed on the tube or in the description. I had already put it on, before I found that. I tried to put up with it, because I was desperate for pain relief. But it gave my husband and me headaches every time. Didn't touch my (severe pain) anyhow. But if it hadn't had fragrance in it, I would have been able to try it longer.

I love this gel to help with my itchy arm! Capsacin is so tough to use because of the heat, if it gets on your hands the potential to get it in your eyes, on someone else is high. This applicator makes it easy to put on an even layer and keep it where it belongs. The capsacin itself is helpful with arm itch, even if for a short time.

I purchased this at the suggestion of my physician. I have very painful arthritis affecting the base of both thumbs at the wrist and I am told the arthritis will progress. Nothing has seemed to help. I started using this just yesterday and while I did not notice any initial relief nor did I experience the burning sensation some reviewers have reported, I did seem to feel less pain by this AM. There does seem to be some definite alleviation of the pain so far but as others have reported I did also experience the burning sensation in some situations. Burning feeling occurred only after I was outside and was sweating on my hands and also in reaction to the rubbing from a wrist support I have.

I am going to continue to use this but if the burning sensations become too prominent I am not sure that I can stay with it. I will try to post an update after i have had a chance to use this product for a longer period of time.

I suggest that new users purchase the 1.5 OZ size before buying the multi-packs so that you can determine first if you find it effects and/or you can tolerate any side effects.

I was looking for something that would help with my mid-back pain. Capsaicin has worked for me on my previous neck issues, and adding menthol seemed as if it would be a bonus. And it is actually a very good combination. BUT the tube arrived feeling shockingly unfull—I would have thought it had leaked, it was so miserly. But that wasn’t possible. The box was fine. Putting it on with the sponge sounds great, but it was impossible to control the amount I was applying because I couldn’t see it—mid-back—and the sponge delivered too much of the product so I constantly had to try to deal with glops. And then on the third day the sponge fell off completely. So now I end up having to use my hands, which is awkward—mid-back!—and I then have to wash my hands repeatedly, because I don’t want this stuff in my eyes when I put on makeup. And it comes out in big glops all the time as I use it without the sponge. And what with all the issues about the glops, the tube is covered with product AND ridiculously low. I will never buy again.
