It's your average computation paper. To be honest, the only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because of how it was when it arrived. It is advertised as a pad that is together, but when it arrived the cardboard was not even attached and the corner was bent. The corner of the pad being bent is something I can look past but losing the cardboard back is a bit irritating to me.

I really liked using this paper when I was in school. The grids made it easy to draw up graphs of all types as well as diagrams.

It really helped me keep my notes neat and organize them in a concise way.

I didn’t experience any ink bleeding with this paper, the quality is great.

The grid lines are just visible enough to not be a distraction, unlike regular lined paper.

The price is worth the amount of paper you get. I probably went through 2 of these each semester, with a full course load of engineering courses.

Will continue buying.

I have not had the experience with the Tops paper as many of the reviewers have had. I am a third year engineering student and I have burned through thousands of pages of engineering paper of pretty much every brand there is and tops is my favorite.

Tops Pros:
Thickness- Its very thick compared to the other brands it "takes lead" well high friction minimal force required a 0.7mm lead and this paper are my favorite combination.
Line Clarity- The lines show through the front side of the paper so much better than any other brand I love it.
Margin Accuracy- The margins, lines, heading bars, are always identical throughout the sheets and look great they are the best dimensionally in my opinion as well.

Tops Cons:
The only problem I have with Tops is that the recycled material has tiny blemishes that look like "dots" made by a pencil maybe 2 or 3 of those on a sheet but after the paper starts to fill up with information you forget they are there...

Some notes about other brands- Ampad is absolute garbage they are the thinnest of all of them and the margins/header is always screwed up and varies throughout the pack, and the line visibility is weak. National is ok too thin for my taste I find that it rips easy especially under large amounts of erasing. My second choice for this paper is Roaring spring, you can't see the lines through the paper very well but this stuff gets the job done and can be had for the least amount of money in most cases.

Give this stuff a shot, I did and it's my new favorite.

Great for sketches and projects. Used similar ones back in my college and early work days. Sheets are a bit thinner than the better known pads but more than adequate for home projects. Only complaint is that the sheets don't tear off cleanly every time resulting the occasional rough edges or excess left on the top of the pad. Not a deal breaker however.

The paper is super thin, and tears really easily. The adhesive that holds the pad of paper together is extremely weak. I think I had this for a day before the cardboard backing fell off when I picked the pad of paper up off my desk. Now sheets of paper just fall of the back of you move the pad just a little bit. I don't want to throw out the loose sheet because they are expensive, but I also don't need random blank sheets of engineering paper floating around my work area. I will not be buying this again

Something else to keep in mind is that the grid is on the back, it doesn't bother me, but if you are hoping that the grid is on the front, you should look for a different pad.
