This book gave me confidence to lead with empathy and kindness. Creating a safe space for employees to create and perform is what leads to success. Making sure we are having fun is what makes work worth it. Each principle is backed by scientific studies and research. The six guiding principles will be a focus for me as I lead my team.

Sunnie Giles is the queen of multi- disciplinary research. This thought-out provoking book brings together a wide variety of ingredients from as disparate as quantum mechanics and organizational management theory, and siimers them together in a rich broth designed to inspire innovative thought. While there are many points that may or may not be entirely accurate or provable (e.g. whether particle physics principles like wave theory or quantum entanglement apply to people and complex organizations) the juxtaposition of these ideas and the questions she raises get you thinking. This book does not aim to have all the right answers--rather it aims to ask interesting questions and help readers find answers that work for them. Well worth the time.

This is a very good book that is worth reading. I summarizes and maybe builds on works including Wheatly's "Leadership and the New Science", Johnson's "Emergence" and "Where Good Ideas Come From". The author references the latter work.

My critical review is based on some factual errors that are unfortunate in a book that purports to be grounded on science. The most egregious is endorsing the obviously false Maharishi Effect. Other errors include conflating epigenetics with neural plasticity.

As a medical practitioner for over forty years, I have not found a book that has had more of a profound influence on me as the book written by Sunnie Giles call the New Science of Radical Innovation I have seen how this book could have helped me as a president of a state medical group, the managing partner of group of ten physicians, and now my own solo practice. The principles taught in Silicon Valley boardrooms are brought down to my level, so I can easily implement them, and radically innovate becoming a better businessman and also become a better person.

This is a great product and is very technical. It may be written over the heads of some and may make them turn away. It is however, a great tool for those. like me, who teach leadership and want to better understand or are seeking to know the clinical reasons why those in leadership positions choose to act the way they do.

This is one of those business books that provides a solid business framework on being an effective leader/manager in the modern market environment (complex, crowded, competitive) and employees seeking greater empathy and empowerment from their bosses. However, it does all of this by drawing really-well thought-out analogies from the natural world across many sciences: from quantum physics, to AI, to biology, to neuroscience. These not only make the material "fun" ready for a science/tech geek, but also make the book's argument for best practices more compelling since the same principles of effective leadership can be found elsewhere in the sciences.

The demands to innovate in our fast-paced, disruptive environment are only growing, and many leaders struggle to envision a framework for radical change.
