4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 40 ratings

Real Estate Economics is a term used to describe the application of economic principles in an effort to predict patterns in real estate prices and consumption. An even more refined application of real estate economics is that of Real Estate Investing which primarily focuses on smaller residential properties (flipping houses or small apartment complexes). The element of economic real estate principles most easily identified that of predicting the patterns of prices and supply, as well as demand. Using sound economic principles, this book will help you and your investment clients gain the expertise necessary to make numerous sound (lucrative) long-or short-term real estate investments.

Bold texts are printed in light gray & difficult to read
I recently started reading Real Estate Economics 6th edition (investor’s silver edition) by Huber, et. al.Throughout the pages, it is extremely difficult to read the bold text that is meant to make important standout points because they are printed in light gray. Why would anyone attempt to emphasize important points in anything other than a bold black text? Light gray fades away on white pages. Unless the text is printed in color, it’s a terrible idea. These pages were printed in black and white so these text lines are almost illegible. Also, lots of typos which is par for the course for all of the real estate textbooks I’ve read from this series.

Very informative and an easy read

This book went straight from the mail to the trash. I found it to be really juvenile, it read like a middle school text book. I can't discount the information and I'll give it five stars because it might very well be good for high schoolers, maybe college freshmen with no economics background, but for the serious adult trying to gain insight the real estate market: look elsewhere.
I'm completing a bachelors degree in Economics from a no-name university so...I'm no Harvard MBA but I understand that I might bring more to the table than the average reader so take or leave my advice.

Compared to the newest edition I matched a lot of the newest edition to this very old edition and learned more from the older model than the newer model had more more details about 15-20 more pages of data
