This is a great review book to have for the Medical Assistant exam. I took mine this week and I passed. It covers all the topics from anatomy to law that you need to know for the exam. It has a practice exam that is 300 questions. I also bought an online practice exam for an additional 300 questions (you can google for purchase of online practice exams). I think the review book in combination of the 600 exam questions that I practiced on really helped as I only had 2 weeks to prepare before taking the exam. It will also be helpful if you write down the prefix/word root/suffix that you don't know on flashcards and memorize them as I find it extremely helpful since I can't remember every medical terms and those latin prefix/word root/suffix come in handy when I had to take the real exam. I was preparing to take my recertification through AAMA and I felt that this book did not cover half the info that was presented on the exam. About halfway through I realized that I needed to find another book to study from. Some of the answers in the book are incorrect. I think it may be a good accompanying book for someone taking a different certification. It only covered maybe half of the disciplinaries that are required knowledge by AAMA. Do not waste your money if you are studying for AAMA certification.
