The most successful calculus book of its generation, Jon Rogawski's Calculus offers an ideal balance of formal precision and dedicated conceptual focus, helping students build strong computational skills while continually reinforcing the relevance of calculus to their future studies and their lives.

Guided by new author Colin Adams, the new edition stays true to the late Jon Rogawski's refreshing and highly effective approach, while drawing on extensive instructor and student feedback, and Adams' three decades as a calculus teacher and author of math books for general audiences.

The practice questions in the book are so messed up that they're almost impossible to read. All the number, variables, and symbols from the same question are all one the same line and the same size. This leads to exponents being indistinguishable from coefficients, except that they are placed behind a variable instead of in front of it. There is no symbol denoting a fraction, the numerator and denominator are just placed right next to each other, as if they were being multiplied. The only sign that a problem has a fraction in it is that dx might randomly appear in the middle of a problem instead of at the end. With the current formatting x squared is displayed as "x2," x squared divided by (2x cubed plus 1) is displayed as "x22x3+1," and the definite integral of the previous example between 0 and 1 is "S011x22x3+1."

Product came fast and exactly what I needed, but had damages to the spine of the book. Works fine for me as long as I’m not responsible for damages. 👍🏼

When the package arrived, I check the book. There is one page was torn, but it is okay for me.

Book arrived new, as advertised, and the material is great, but I was upset to realize that despite some misleading phrasing in the Amazon description and in the book itself that led me to believe otherwise, there is no online access code included with this textbook, even when purchased new. They make sure to emphasize their partnerships with numerous online learning tools, but nowhere in the book is there an access code to any of the websites they mention. You must purchase the access code separately; an additional $51 for me, which doesn't even include the e-Book. I was told by my professors that we would use this book in several classes in the next year or two, so I decided to take the physical copy over the e-Book, but I would have much rather returned this to Amazon for a refund and simply purchased the online copy with homework access.

Un testo impegnativo che può esercitare usato per approfondire e chiare i concetti fondamentali dell'analisi infinitesimale.
Non è un libro da leggere ma uno strumento di consultazione.
