Fantastic book, and excellent to bring one back into the ropes of writing on a traditional college institutional level! I have been out of school for almost 7 years and it has definitely clicked right back into my mind how I used to be back in school, if not, improved my critical writing skills.

Quick note though, the pages are quite thin, so if you have a muscle-memory reaction to flipping pages that you can't grip by giving your index finger a lick, it may leave the page's corner slightly wrinkled.

Otherwise, this book is great!

This book has a plethora of amazing essays from those who came before us and those that are still with us. It gives us a glimpse of both sides of rhetoric.

Excellent collection of essays for college students. The suggestions for critical writing are challenging and require deep analysis. They also encourage thoughtful discussions and comparisons of the ideas of the various writers

Looking at this book when it arrived, it wasn't very clear how I could use it. I was not sure what I am supposed to get out of it. I rented the book for a critical thinking class. Unfortunately, I had to drop the course quickly, so I thought I might just read it on my own to see if I could prepare myself for when I take the class, too confusing. I am sure the teacher had a purpose for it.
