The first book in the Cosmic Trigger trilogy reveals the enlightening secret of the Illuminati while presenting the daunting metaphor of Chapel Perilous where the unprepared can get lost in a spirited journey. Volume Two of the series presents the metaphor of the Bridge and the lessons of Bob’s early life that brought him to the wisdom of the Model Agnostic’s perspective. In Bob’s typical wide-ranging narratives, we learn, among other mind-blowing anecdotes, about the similarities between the Pope of Rome and the Wizard of Oz. Don’t miss this explosion of thought, when for the second time, Bob pulls the Cosmic Trigger. The ROBERT ANTON WILSON TRUST Authorized HILARITAS PRESS EDITION

Author of some 35 books including Cosmic Trigger, Prometheus Rising, Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy, and co-author of the Illuminatus! Trilogy, Robert Anton Wilson (RAW or Bob) was a futurist, author, lecturer, stand-up comic, guerrilla ontologist, psychedelic magician, outer head of the Illuminati, quantum psychologist, Taoist sage, Discordian Pope, Struthian politician . . . maybe. Bob described his work as an "attempt to break down conditioned associations, to look at the world in a new way, with different perspectives recognized as models or maps, and no one model elevated to the truth". His goal being "to try to get people into a state of generalized agnosticism, not agnosticism about God alone but agnosticism about everything." His "Maybe Logic" inspired the creation of the Maybe Logic Academy. Google "Robert Anton Wilson" for mosbunall info.

Eternal mercy of Amida will eventually deliver the readers of "Cosmic Trigger" from the errors and bring them "to the pure land of infinite reflected Light." I read this second part of the author's Illuminati trilogy from the first to the last sentence with a smile! It's full of adventurous experiences, and knowledge, and wisdom - and it's funny. Yeahaha, "eternal mercy" of "Something for Nothing"!

Not just a book an intellectual adventure. Amazing, funny, thought provoking, mind expanding. If you like the science fiction of Philip K Dick (who knew Wilson, had similar experiences and is discussed in this book) you will also love this true (ish) account of some incredible experiences.

Can a book rearrange the polarity of your conscious mind, stimulate dosing neurons into excitation, and spur you into understanding "reality." What about put a smile on your face every step of the way.
There has never been anyone like Robert Anton Wilson, cosmic jester/philosopher extraordinaire who has generously expanded more minds through the years than most so-called teachers of higher learning. "Higher Learning" through the RAW method produces a frightening, staggering number of people who end up thinking for themselves and - this part's really scary - actually start enjoying their lives.
How wonderful.

Robert Anton Wilson always does that: he opens your mind. I've read 5 of his books so far and I don't think I'll stop until I read them all (maybe I can finally scape my own reality tunnels) Five stars for every book of this wise man from Long Island!! *****

I bought this book for my friend Brian who is into Robert Anton Wilson's writing. It does look like an interesting book and I will probably borrow it from him once he finishes it. :^)

5.0 out of 5 stars Idiot! Schmuck! Genius! Idiot!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 13, 2015
I am a big fan of RAW, so perhaps I am slightly biased, but I really love this work. It kind of fitted with where I am at, I think, I think.

My whole journey into this weird world of hidden extras began with Cosmic Triggers 1, and it has been about 8 years since that fateful day when it fell into my hands.

This second edition, Down to Earth, is more... well down to Earth I guess. I think, though I do not know, that this could reflect a few thingies, so I shall offer a multi-model approach to understanding why this isn't the first book all over again:

1) because everything has to go somewhere, and if it was the first book all over again, it would be a sorry schmuck of a work.
2) because it reflects a different time in RAW's life, when he was reconciling tripped out views. He was coming back down to earth.
3) because he knew that the reader of this second book, would likely be cult followers of the first, and he anticipated (correctly I would assume in a lot of cases) that his reader seeking more would more greatly benefit from this earthy work, than from too much more of the dogged aliens from Sirius.
4) because he thought it would further initiate the wise, by demonstrating that these matters (and what not), are not so far out at all.
5) I don't know.

The book is a mash up of conspiracy, politics, society, and almost reads as an auto-biography at times. It occasionally shocks the hell out of you. These shocks are, in my opinion, well-timed; deliberately so.

I can't wait to get the next one, but for now I am moving onto Illuminatus.
