Amari seems to have the ability to read a woman's spirit, essence and, if it's not too ironic, soul. It is a lovely read and gives you the ability to interact while going through the chapters. I found myself nodding my head in agreement and amazement that this man, whom I've never even met, knows what I feel inside so well.
This book is a process. One of which I am not going through so the title is a bit misleading. It takes one through the outlining who you are and what you want, then through the difficult stages of deciding whether to stay or go, how to move past an unhealthy relationship and the aftermath of being single. It is moving and inspiring and if you are in these parts of a relationship, a welcoming friend to help you through such events.
There is a section that men should read also. It gives helpful in site into a woman's thoughts and what women want and need from a relationship. This part of the book is directed to men.
What I liked about this book is Amari's wonderful sense of insite into how a woman feels and the help and inspiration to go on to be who you are and have what you want in a relationship. I could have saved myself a lot of heartache if this book were available when I was making the decision to stay or go in a relationship I was not meant to be in. There is incredible strength in this man's words.
This is the first book I have looked into and read by Amari Soul. I do hope he either has or will have a book for those of us who are in a healthy relationship and addresses making a happy marriage even more enriching.

Not gonna lie, this book cost me my relationship. But if it was that easy, it wasn’t a relationship worth keeping. There are hard facts in here that women need to hear. Unfortunately we weren’t taught that we deserve respect growing up and we are not men’s play things or to be used at their convenience or to be seen and not heard. If only women knew how worthy we were, it would change the world. Not all men are bad, or out to get us... but we have to know when to set boundaries, stand up for ourselves, and say enough when we get those red flags. There was a part in the book that mentioned a man showing you his phone. My ex and I spent 20 minutes talking about this part of the book and he said he would let me see his phone no problem, etc... until I asked... “can I see your phone?” Now remember, this was after 20 mins of talking about it civilly and having a mutual talk about it. But that didn’t matter. The look he gave me after I asked, shifted from someone I knew to someone I didn’t recognize. It was like his eyes changed right before me. Suddenly the person I loved and trusted turned completely cold and heartless within a split second. He said no. Then said he “didn’t like to be tested like that”. After he just said he would.... it didn’t add up. Well, that was not my first red flag and definitely not the last. I learned over time he expected me to trust him even though he showed me he had tendencies to wander. Tendencies as in cheating on his wife in their 10 year marriage. Tendencies as in always needing to chat with different girls. Tendencies as in him saying he was going to fly out to see a female friend and stay with her for a week across the country... without me... well, in the end, I was right. In the end, the author of this book was right.
