More of a pamphlet than a book, but contains quite a bit of information. Very happy with it and would recommend to others.

There is a series of these little pamphlet booklets. They are an average of 30 to 32 pages long. They all are on a wide range of do it yourself home survival topics. I am not a "preper" or anything like that but I do want to have a more productive garden and be able to store what I harvest more efficiently. I want to be able to store what my husband hunts and what I grow without having to rely on electricity because I have lived in hurricane prone areas and snow storm areas were power was lost for hours, days, even a week once, and we have lost a lot of valuable food. These pamphlets are awesome to help you learn what you need to look into. They do not give many answers but are awesome blueprints to what you need to look into for what you want to do. I have learned a lot of what I wanted to do from these, then go to the library to borrow the books with the information I need! We are slowly collecting the whole series.

I found this guide very practical and easy to understand. I love the images that are included and the brief explanations on various concepts. I think that the designs and layouts are very useful and give the reader a good amount of information in regards to the options available when one is thinking or considering building a smokehouse. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in trying out the idea, or you simply want to learn more about the subject.
I took on star off, because I felt the book could have gone bit more extensively on the subject. I felt, by the time I was done with the book, that I still had few questions left to be answered. Some people on the other hand, may find this good, if you are not looking to get too deep into the subject, and you want a quick reference guide to smoking, and some practical plans to go along with it.

I bought this for my husband, and he loves the building plans that are included.

This is a very basic book on building smokehouses. Even though it is a very short book, the information it provides is very helpful in building a smoker. I built mine based roughly on the instructions in this book. The end result is excellent. I used this book to base my rough design on and then got assistance from several online forums. This book shows you how to build a traditional smokehouse, similar to what was / has been built for generations.

This manual is a very basic intro into building smoke houses, and if you want to build a serious unit you will be better served to buy something else like "Meat Smoking And Smokehouse Design." All that being said, it is nice to have it in one place and it builds on the fundamentals as you go. The catch is that you can get most all of the content for free on the public Internet forums. For about $3.50 "it's okay."

This short little booklet doesn't have a ton of information in it, but it offers a really great overview of the principles that go into making a smokehouse. The booklet does offer plans, but more than that, it equips the reader to make their own plans using the ideas and strategies that have been proven to build a successful smoker. I'm in build mode on a cold smoker of my own, and while not overly complex, it is nice to have this booklet as a guide.

They're mostly cheap. Buy 'em, store 'em & keep them as survival insurance.

It would be great info (any info is extremely useful for the inexperienced, the easily stressed, and the poor memory people & just plain any emergency situation).

No comments on individual quality as purchased as above as it's a quick review on about 20 ebooks I purchased, eg. I'll read them if I ever need them. If the internet still exists when the SHTF I'll let you know.
