I purchased the kindle edition for $2.99 and for the price, it's a fairly good book to use in conjunction with other VTNE review books. It starts with a chapter discussing the job of a Veterinary Technician and how to find a job as a VT which is a waste of paper for those of us that have attended accredited programs. The second chapter is a 200 question baseline test, for you to get an idea on what sections you need help with.
The third section consists of 7 chapters broken down into sections on the test. Each chapter has an overview and a list of topics that you could be tested on, making it easy to streamline your studying. You're given about 10 specific practice questions, an answer key and then an explanation of each answer.
The last portion of the book is 2 practice tests.

While I wouldn't suggest using only this book to study for your exams (unless you've just graduated and/or are very comfortable with the information) I highly suggest purchasing the kindle edition. It's a good price for a few extra tests to practice on.

After being a tech for over 20 yrs, the answers are not always real life practical. I bought this to challenge myself.
Also keep in mind, this is American based not Canadian, so it may throw you off on some of the questions.
Wouldn't recommend this particular exercise book, I'm sure there are better ones.
The paper is that thin crappy cheap type.

This book is disappointing. It's essentially, 3 practice tests with a lot of filler and common sense in between. Lots of stuff about writing a resume and how to sign up to write the exam.

One of their tests is called a 'diagnostic test' but does nothing to help you see what sections you should focus on. So it's really just another practice test.
So if you just want some practice tests with detailed answers, this it it. But I feel like my money would have been better spent with other online practice tests.
